31 May 2017, 10:00 to 31 May 2017, 16:30
Warburg Institute, Woburn Square, London WC1H 0AB
The Warburg Institute is hosting an exciting open house event on Wednesday 31 May 2017. ‘Opening Doors | Discovering New Ideas’ features engaging talks by two colleagues who head our MA programmes: Dr Guido Giglioni, for the MA in Cultural and Intellectual History 1300 – 1650, and Dr Joanne Anderson, for the MA in Art History, Curatorship and Renaissance Culture, which is offered in conjunction with London’s National Gallery.
There will be tours of the famous library including an introduction to its unique classification and arrangement of human culture and expression, and tours of the Aby Warburg archive and photographic collection, which is increasingly of great interest to contemporary artists and scholars of art.
There will be a showing of Judith Wechsler’s film on the life of Aby Warburg, and an informational session on studying at the Warburg and the funding opportunities available.
The event is free of charge. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required by clicking on the Book Now link below.
