For the Swiss Pavilion, Carol Bove will present new steel works responding to the legacy of Alberto Giacometti.

Karla Black, who represented Scotland in 2011, will create an environment on site in the Arsenale made from a combination of everyday materials including powder, soap, and pastes, along with plaster, chalk, and paper. A durational reading of On Kawara’s One Million Years (1969-1981) will be performed in the Oratorio di San Ludovico during the first three months of the biennale.
